All our procedures are done in our Papamoa studio.

• Avoid drinking large amounts of coffee, taking ibuprofen, aspirin (unless medically advised) and alcohol the night before your treatment
• Any waxing, tinting or eyelash perming should be done 48 hours before your treatment
• At your appointment, we’ll provide you with balm to apply to the area daily
• Botox/fillers: We recommend waiting 2 weeks before and 6 weeks after your permanent cosmetic procedure
• Avoid sun exposure, UV tanning beds, retinol and retinoids for 30 days before and 30 days following your procedure
• Avoid lash/brow growth serums at least 30 days prior to treatment
• Contact lenses: If receiving eyeliner treatment, we advise you to avoid wearing contacts during the procedure and wear your glasses at home

Yes, the same as “regular” tattooing, cosmetic tattooing is a technique in which pigment is implanted into the dermis of the skin. Because of this, cosmetic tattooing is considered permanent as it cannot be washed off. However, with any tattoo or pigment, fading can and often does occur. This requires maintenance, referred to as our refresh service, to touch-up or boost the colour.

It is common to experience discomfort when getting cosmetic tattooing. However, we use numbing cream and anaesthetic during the procedure to minimise any discomfort.

Eyebrows or Eyeliner: The first procedure generally takes approximately 3-hours. The colour refresher procedure will not take as long.

It can take up to 10 days after the initial appointment for the area to fully heal. Some people may experience some swelling, itchiness and tenderness in the days following treatment.

Every individual’s skin is unique and some may require more time to heal.

Permanent cosmetic makeup will not wash off; however, it may fade over time and need to be touched up every 1-2 years. To ensure your brows and eyes are looking their best, we suggest booking our refresh service for 12-18 months. If properly maintained, the results will look amazing for years to come.

Depending on your request, we like to take a conservative approach to the colour of our clients’ cosmetic tattooing, as it is easier to darken or add more colour in later appointments. We will guide you through the selection of colour to ensure you get the best results to suit your skin, working with your unique skin qualities.

All STUDIO VII appointments require a deposit to secure your appointment. The remaining sum will be due on the day of your appointment.

If you are unable to make your original appointment, your deposit can be transferred to a different day. Please see our Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation and No-Shows Policy for all the services & appointments:

For all appointments a deposit is required upon booking to confirm your appointment. Please note that your appointment is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

All deposits are non-refundable but transferable. If you reschedule your appointment, before 48 hours, the deposit will be transferred to the new appointment. However, if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with 48 hours or less notice, or if it is not rebooked, the deposit will be forfeited at our discretion.

In the event of a no-show, you will be charged 50% of the service fee. This charge is necessary to compensate for the loss of potential bookings and associated impact on our schedule.
